    Title: Administration - Management Support Professional – Senior

     

    Location: Pentagon, Arlington, VA  20310

     

    Description:  The Directorate for Intelligence (J-2) supports the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff and Unified Commands. It is the national level focal point for crisis intelligence support to military operations, indications and warning intelligence in DoD, and Unified Command intelligence requirements. The J-2 coordinates joint intelligence doctrine and architecture, and managed intelligence for joint warfighting assessments.  J-2 serves as the Intelligence Community manager for Support to Military operations, and is the Director of the Joint Warfighting Capabilities Assessments for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance under the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.

     

    This Senior Administrative Management Support (AMS) Professional billet provides services to assist the J-2’s Deputy Director for Mission Support team.  In particular, the job duties for this billet entail:

    • Work with the J2 Mission Support Division Chiefs and FE Program Manager (Resource Management) to meet all of the J2’s Mission Support Requirements.
    • Manage and process J2 and Afghanistan-Pakistan Task Force (APTF) travel orders and vouchers in Defense Travel System (DTS) for J2 Deputy Directors for (DDFor) (i.e., verify fund cite on order was correct; issue travel order number; post travel order number in Travel Log; verify proper J2 and APTF signatures on orders and conference fee requests; process conference fee requests for approval; process travel orders for certification and the full cycle functioning of program; etc.).
    • Monitor the DTS activities and resolve or mitigate traveler's program and system issues (i.e., in-process and out-process members; act as the organization's focal point for travel-related concerns; etc.).
    • Assist in the reconciliation of the J2 and APTF financial database with the Agency Financial records by working with the respective OC4 analyst to resolve discrepancies between the J2 and APTF database and the Agency Financial records.
    • Provide requested financial reports to J2 Resource Management on an as needed basis.
    • Prepare, post, and track both incoming and outgoing Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs).
    • Track Purchase Requests (PRs) though the Contract Management System (CMS), obtain copies of obligating documents from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and/or other government agencies.
    • Provide general support and assistance to the J2 Financial Management Staff.
    • Assist with the in-processing and out-processing of J2 and APTF personnel, including Joint Staff Information Network-Unclassified (JSIN-SIU) accounts, parking, and property.
    • Prepare, requisition, and process PRs through the CMS.
    • Perform duties as the J21 Activity Supply Custodian, manage the storage closets and ordering office supplies as required.
    • Perform requirements processing in both tasker systems (eTask and JSAP).
    • Conduct Information Technology Projects, Video Teleconferences (VTCs), data mining, graphics development, document destruction, and provide other related IT assistance.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications Required:

    Candidate must have experience with DoD senior staff as well as DoD administrative actions, processes and systems to include MIPRs, PRs, eTask, JSAPs, CAMS and DTS.

    Security Clearance:  TS

    Special Access / Access Eligibility:  SCI

    Polygraph:  Willing to take CI poly

    Education:   Associates Degree (or High School Diploma with equivalent 2 years college hours) is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Experience:  10 years administrative experience.
