  • Position Overview

    Title: IT Systems Support-Angular Java Developer-Senior

    Location: Reston, VA 20190


    • Experienced Angular developer to work to assist the in-house team with rewriting our Individual Tax web application. In addition to strong Angular skills, the developer must have experience setting up and establishing a solid application stack and coding foundation using industry best practices. The developer needs to be willing to mentor and advise the in-house team as they gain experience with Angular.
    • Determine requirements, design and build for customer use hardware
    • Analyze, detect, identify and correct technical problems and deficiencies
    • Properly escalate issues and follow through to successful resolution
    • Monitor system performance

    In addition, apply concepts, develop, test, maintain, and support high-performance, innovative software and web-based applications. Troubleshoot software and web problems and provide solutions to overcome these problems using the latest technologies. Work with leadership and information technologists to determine specifications. Use a variety of internet technologies, techniques and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, XML) to create software and web application elements such as user interface features, algorithms, animation, special effects, databases, and e-business applications.


    Qualifications Required:


    Security Clearance: TS

    Special Access / Access Eligibility: SCI

    Polygraph: Willing to take CI poly

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree

    Experience: 9-12 years of experience


    Candidate should have skills:

    • Experience working with JavaScript/CSS frameworks on.
    • Experience working with Angular 2+ concepts such as services, pipe, routing and Http with Observable.
    • Experience in working with templating engines such as jQuery Templates and handlebars.
    • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum development practices
    • Experience in working with RESTful Web Services and implementing RESTful API's.
    • Experience with Git and GitHub.
    • Experience debugging scripts and elements using browser’s developer tools.
    • Experience working on CSS Preprocessors such as LESS and SASS along with JavaScript task runners like Grunt and Gulp JS.
    • Fair understanding of SDLC basics and Agile/Scrum development practices.
    • Experience working with Jira is a plus.
    • Microsoft Office tools
    • Excellent customer service skills and professional conduct
    • Ability to apply logic in analyzing technology solutions
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to perform effectively both independently and as a team member
