  • Position Overview

    Title:  Joint Targeting Systems Administrator/IMO Services


    Location: Seoul, Korea


    Description:  The JTS Administrator will provide broad IMO services to the USFK J2.




    Qualifications Required: The successful candidate capabilities shall include but are not limited to the following:

    • Install new software releases, system upgrades, perform patch evaluation, install patches and resolve software related problems on all supported operating systems, database systems, and application software.
    • Provide on-going support of systems that ensure the clients' business cycles will not be impacted during upgrades or maintenance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, storage, and database problems.
    • Monitor system log, performance reports, and disk space
    • Manage and ensure operational availability of all IT equipment items and software owned and operated by CJ2 personnel.
    • Provide dedicated maintenance support for the operation, restoration, and configuration of CJ2 IT equipment and systems.
    • Serve as lead CJ2 Information Management Officer (IMO) and will be the primary POC in submitting and managing all CJ2 IT trouble tickets
    • Submit all IT tickets for longer-term projects involving work on NIPR, SIPR, and/or CENTRlXS-K networks to include but not limited to installing switches, network cabling, and IT endpoints.
    • Liaise with DlA LOG personnel to maintain lifecycle information for all IT equipment and software items owned and operated by CJ2 personnel.
    • Make recommendations regarding replacement of IT equipment in accordance with industry standards with respect to pertinent lifecycle information.
    • Install and configure IT systems for operational use ensuring the systems do not compromise security safeguards and that operational data is archived, sanitized, and disposed of in accordance with security directives and user operational requirements.
    • Build and maintain a process for establishing and managing end user network and e-mail accounts for all information systems used within the CJ2.
    • Ensure the CFC/USFK CJ2 maintains DOD regulatory compliance and is always prepared to pass Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) audits and inspections as led by CJ6 staff.
    • Ensure all CFC/USFK CJ2 systems are compliant with system, patches in accordance with NETCOM and higher headquarters signal organization directives.

    Experience: 4-6 years task related experience, or, no degree but specialized training and 4-8 years task related experience, or, equivalent intelligence/academic experience

    Security Clearance:  TS

    Special Access / Access Eligibility:  SCI

    Polygraph:  Willing to take CI poly

    Education:   Bachelor’s Degree


    Additional Qualifications Desired:

    Master’s degree

    Relevant IT Certifications
